I have had this cool friend. Her name is Marina. She lives in Hawaii. She grew up there. We met on flickr. 4 years ago. We both have 3 boys and we bonded through being mommies to boys. I have a forth and she has one on the way. It’s a great friendship. We are lucky to be able to chat as often as we do and are able to keep up when we can through email.
We both had a huge love for photography. I have been lucky to watch Marina grow her talent and her business Red Heart Photo. Her photography is mind blowing. She has taught me so much. Especially with her RAW conversions called (that I love to brag, I helped name) the underground set list. Our relationship has helped me grow as a person and as a photographer. And I forever have a friend that lives in Hawaii that I can hopefully visit at least once this year.
Here’s from our last quick visit just about a month ago. We went swimming in Downey in my Nona’s pool. It was the perfect day to hang out. What is crazy is that I was so busy chasing the baby back and forth I didn’t catch any of the action of the boys sliding down the super awesome slide. I love the shots of J walking back and forth because I have photos of me doing the same thing in the same spot at the same age.
And I love this photo. You can see Nona watching her from the window in the background. Nona and J have a special bond.
She’s on the go again with Marina watching. Thanks for the visit M. I am happy you finally got to meet her and we were able to just chill in the pool!
