I am like the old addage “The shoesmith’s daughter who doesn’t have any shoes.” (used to be occassionally, “The baker’s daugher who doesn’t have any bread.” which is a seperate story entirely). Lately, I am “The photographer, who barely has any photos hung on her walls.” And I am on a mission to change this!
Typically, I am busy helping other people figure out what to hang in their homes (and I am darned good at this!). But when it comes to figuring out what to hang in my own home. Well, it’s been lacking. It could be the most recent little addition with her diaper changing, nursing and wrangling. It could be the endless tasks to do and pick up as I am going about my day with 4 kiddos. It could be the awesome client work that I am so fortunate to have but keeps me busy. It could be that after finally getting to work on my own personal photos I can barely keep my eyes peeled open to pick what I want hung.
I am officially going to break the cycle and hang some things up.
Here’s what is going over our fireplace.
We have two niches over our fireplace. They have hosted a variety of things, Christmas decorations, Easter, the latest drawings the boys have made, some family photos…..but alas, it will now have a beautiful photo between the niches. Now to go and figure out what’s going in the two niches on either side. Off to hunt…….
