I have had the pleasure to be named the “official photographer” of the Corona Symphony Orchestra.
On August 23rd CSO held their debut performance called “First Night” at the City of Corona’s Civic Center. It was a pleasure to be there and experience the forming of this new group to Corona. The orchestra and it’s leaders are all made up currently of volunteers, even the members of the orchestra. A dear friend, Walt Straiton, met up with Don Kindred to mesh their ideas together to form CSO. The talented conductor Marco Mejia was fantastic leading the orchestra with classic pieces such as Handel’s “Music for the Royal Fireworks.” My favorite was the ending when they played the moving Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1.
The City of Corona really needs this boost in arts to our community. I am very much looking forward to being a big part of CSO and being able to watch all of their performances!
